Product details

The Hayward SPX0715D is the genuine valve seat spider gasket for 2 in. Vari-Flo side mount multiport valves, the SP-715 and SP-716 models. It is the same part Hayward also lists as SPX715D.

Dimensions

The gasket measures 6-1/2 in., with a 6-5/16 in. outside diameter and a 3/4 in. center hole. Measure your old gasket against those numbers; the 1.5 in. Vari-Flo valves take a smaller one.

Why you replace it

The spider gasket seals the diverter against the valve body between ports. When it wears or a spoke pulls loose, water bypasses to the waste line while the filter is running, or backwash water finds its way back to the pool. A new gasket, seated dry and clean, cures it.

Hayward Vari-Flo 2 in. side mount multiport valves, the SP-715 and SP-716 models.
How do I know it is the right size?
Measure your old gasket. This one is 6-1/2 in. across, with a 6-5/16 in. outside diameter and a 3/4 in. center hole. The 1.5 in. valves use a smaller gasket.
What are the symptoms of a bad spider gasket?
Water running to waste while the valve is on Filter, or dirty water returning to the pool during backwash. The gasket has lost its seal between the ports.
Is SPX715D the same part?
Yes. SPX715D and SPX0715D are the same Hayward gasket.
