Product details

Pentair 270190Z is the replacement end cap for FullFloXF backwash valves. It is the genuine factory cap for the valve body.

What the cap does

The end cap closes the top of the backwash valve and guides the stem that moves between filter and backwash. It takes the load every time the valve is pulled and pushed, which is why it is the part that eventually cracks rather than the valve body.

Cap or O-rings

Water appearing at the top of the valve has two usual causes. A cracked cap or a damaged sealing face calls for this part. An intact cap with water weeping past the stem points at the O-rings inside the valve, which are ordered separately, so look closely before deciding.

Keeps the valve, not the whole assembly

Because the cap is available on its own, a damaged cap does not mean cutting a backwash valve out of the plumbing. The valve body and the connections stay exactly where they are.

No. This is the end cap on its own. The FullFloXF replacement handle is a separate part.
