Quick overview
- Genuine Pentair The factory 524550 o-ring, not a hardware store substitute.
- Low profile actuator valve The seal specific to the low profile actuator valve, not the standard profile body.
- Sold on its own Just the o-ring, for a valve that only needs the seal replaced.
- The usual cause of a weeping valve A valve dripping at the body seam is normally a seal that has taken a set, not a cracked housing.
- Right size matters An o-ring that is close but not correct will seat unevenly and leak again within a season.
- Lubricate on assembly A thin film of silicone o-ring lubricant helps it seat and keeps the valve serviceable next time.

Product details
The Pentair 524550 is the o-ring for the low profile actuator valve. It is the genuine replacement seal, supplied on its own.
What it fixes
A valve that has started to weep or drip at the body seam is nearly always telling you the seal is finished. O-rings take a set from being compressed, and once the rubber has hardened or flattened it will not seal again, however far the valve is tightened. Changing the seal is the first move, and it is a lot cheaper than a valve body.
Before you order
This is the seal for the low profile actuator valve specifically. The standard profile body uses a different o-ring, so confirm which valve is on the pad. Clean the groove and the sealing face before the new seal goes in, and use a thin film of silicone o-ring lubricant rather than a petroleum grease, which attacks rubber.
