Product details

The A&A Manufacturing 522634 is the Kit A gear kit for 5 port and 6 port top feed actuator valves. It supplies the gearing that drives the valve through its zones.

What the gears do

A top feed actuator valve indexes water from one group of floor heads to the next. Water pressure turns the drive, the gear set steps the diverter around, and each zone gets its turn. When teeth wear or strip, the valve stalls on one zone or jumps unevenly, and the pool starts cleaning in only one area.

Replace as a set

Gears wear together. Fitting the full kit keeps the mesh even, where dropping a single new gear into an old set just moves the wear onto the new piece.
