The Sta-Rite 14930-0032 is the index plate kit for WC212-134 plastic slide valves. It is a genuine Sta-Rite part and arrives as a kit: the top index plate, two spring pins and the top plate o-ring.
What the index plate does
On a push pull valve the top plate is the reference the handle indexes against. It holds the position markings, takes the spring pins that locate the handle, and seals to the valve body through the o-ring underneath. When the plate cracks around the pin holes or the o-ring is flattened, the handle goes vague, the valve stops holding its position, and water finds its way past the top.
Measure before you order
Valve top plates look much the same across brands and sizes. This one is 4 inches across the outside, 2 inches in total height, with a 1/2 inch center hole, and the genuine part carries 4930-9 molded into the underside. Checking those three numbers against the old plate is faster than sending the wrong one back.
