The Pentair 150119Z is the three piece union replacement kit for 1-1/2 inch HiFlow valves, in black. It is the genuine Pentair kit and is carried under the number 150119 as well.

Why unions fail first

A union is the joint that lets a valve come out of the line without cutting pipe, and it is also the first place a valve starts to weep. Sun, chemistry and years of being tightened by hand take the o-ring out of shape and stress the nut. The valve body itself is usually fine long after the union has stopped sealing.

What you get

The kit covers the three piece union set for the 1-1/2 inch valve. It is the black version, which matches the black valve bodies at most equipment pads. The 2 inch valve uses a different kit, so check the size stamped on the valve before you order.

Both numbers appear on this kit in our sources. The Z is the suffix Pentair uses on the black version, and the kit is listed under both.
What is in the kit?
It is the three piece union set for the valve, supplied as a kit rather than as individual pieces.
Will it fit a 2 inch HiFlow valve?
No. This kit is the 1-1/2 inch size. The 2 inch valve takes its own union parts.
My valve is leaking at the union, is this the fix?
Usually. Weeping at the union normally means a tired o-ring or a distorted nut, and replacing the union set is the standard repair before condemning the valve.
