This is the LeafVac lid assembly, part number 540189, the replacement lid for the A&A LeafVac debris canister.
Why the lid matters
The LeafVac only works while it is sealed. The lid holds the vacuum in the line so leaves and debris are drawn into the canister and held there. Once the lid is cracked, warped or no longer clamping flat, the canister loses suction and debris carries on toward the pump basket instead.
