Product details

The Paramount 005-302-3570-00 is the complete band clamp, with knob and nut, that holds the valve shells together on a Paramount in-floor water valve, and it is listed for use with the Hydra Valve.

Where it sits

In-floor cleaning systems route water through a valve that sends flow to each group of cleaning heads. Paramount's owner's manual lists the valve as a top, a base, a replaceable module and this band clamp, which goes around the two shells and is drawn tight by a knob or a 7/16 inch nut on a threaded bolt.

Fitting it

Turn off all equipment including the pumps before you open the valve. To close it, place the clamp around the shells, start the knob or nut, and tighten it securely while gently tapping the clamp from opposite the knob around both sides. Be careful not to over tighten. Run the pump and look for leaks; if the valve leaks, shut the pump off and tighten the clamp more, and replace the base o-ring if it keeps leaking.

Before you order

This is the clamp on its own, not the shell or the module. The manual also lists the clamp knob (005-302-3600-00) and nut (005-302-0640-00) as separate parts, so if only the knob or nut is damaged you may not need the whole clamp.
