Product details

The ecoOne ECO-8014 is a hose filter that treats water on its way into a pool or spa. It screws onto any garden hose and uses a proprietary dual chamber design to strip out the contaminants that cause most start up problems.

What it takes out

The filter removes 90% of chlorine, 98% of metals, and the minerals that cause scale, from either city or well water, hard or soft. Metals are the reason this matters. Iron and copper coming in with the fill water are what become stains on plaster and rings at the waterline, and it is far easier to keep them out than to remove them from a full pool with chemistry.

Capacity and other uses

One filter purifies up to 40,000 gallons. Because it works on a standard hose connection it is not limited to the pool: the same filter serves fish ponds, fountains, aquariums, bird baths, pet water dishes, lawn watering, washing pets, boats and motorcycles, organic gardening, and filling campers and RVs.
