This is the Paramount RetroJet installation tool, part number 004-652-5422-00, used to install and remove RetroJet nozzles in an in floor cleaning system.
What it is for
RetroJet nozzles sit flush in the pool floor and give nothing for a pair of pliers to hold. The tool engages the nozzle at the point Paramount designed it to be turned from, so the nozzle comes out intact and the new one goes back in seated correctly. Working without it is how nozzle bodies get chewed up and how a routine swap turns into a bigger repair.
What it fits
It covers all Paramount RetroJets with one exception, the Pool Valet Retro. For a pool full of RetroJet heads that means one tool handles the whole floor, which makes it a sensible thing to keep with spare nozzles rather than borrow when a head fails.
