Product details

The Paramount 005-152-0120-00 is the replacement o-ring for the lid of the Paramount Clear Canister, a single genuine Paramount o-ring.

When to replace it

The lid o-ring is what lets the canister hold a seal. When it flattens, cracks or dries out, the lid weeps water, the system draws air, or the lid becomes hard to seat. A new o-ring, lightly coated with a silicone based lubricant, fixes all three. Paramount's manual warns never to use petroleum jelly on plastic or rubber parts, so avoid petroleum based grease on this ring.

Check the fit

Not every Paramount canister lid takes an o-ring. Paramount's DDC2 deck canister literature describes a lid with no threads, clamps or seals, and an older Paramount owner's manual describes a twist lock lid that needs no o-ring. This ring is made for the Clear Canister lid, so confirm that your lid seals on an o-ring and check the number against your canister parts list before you order. The clear internal lid is a separate part, Paramount 005-152-4580-00.
