Polaris Genuine OEM Vacuum Tube/Feedpipe Assembly with O-Ring, 39-006

The Polaris 39-006 is the genuine vacuum tube and feedpipe assembly for the 3900 Sport pool cleaner, supplied with its O-ring. The tube itself carries 393-006 stamped into it, which is the same part under its molded number.

What it does

The vacuum tube is the path debris travels from the pool floor up into the cleaner bag. Pressure from the booster pump drives the jets, and the feed pipe carries that water to where it creates the suction. If the tube is cracked or the O-ring at the joint has failed, that pressure escapes before it does any work.

The symptom

A 3900 with a damaged vacuum tube usually still drives its pattern around the pool normally. It just stops picking up. Leaves sit where they were, fine debris stays on the floor, and the bag comes up nearly empty at the end of a cycle. That combination, normal movement and poor collection, points at the tube and the seal rather than at the drive train.

Fitting

The assembly arrives complete with the O-ring, so the joint gets a fresh seal when the new tube goes on.
