Product details

The Polaris 48-140 is the feed hose connector assembly for the 3900 Sport pool cleaner. It is the genuine Polaris OEM part, supplied complete as an assembly.

What it does

It is the joint between the feed hose and the cleaner itself. Every drop of water that drives the 3900 passes through this connection, and it flexes with the hose all day, so it is a normal wear item.

The symptom

A hose that keeps working loose at the cleaner, or a visible split or crack at the connector, means water is escaping before it reaches the jets. The cleaner slows down, wanders or stops climbing. Replacing the connector restores the sealed connection. The feed hose nut is a separate Polaris part and is worth inspecting while you are there.
