Polaris Genuine OEM Pressure Relief Valve for 180/280/380/3900/P39/P40/TR28P Pool Cleaners

The Polaris 9-100-9002 is the genuine pressure relief valve that threads into the wall fitting on the Polaris 180, 280, 290 TankTrax, 380, 3900 Sport, P39, TR35P and TR28P pressure cleaners. It is the version with the black spring holder.

How it works

Inside is a spring set at the factory. When pressure in the cleaner line climbs above the spring tension, the spring lifts and vents the excess. If the old valve is worn, water pours out of the top of it even at normal pressure, and the cleaner loses speed.

Adjustment

The valve is threaded on the outside so you can tune it in the wall fitting housing. Screwed all the way in, the cleaner gets full pressure and runs fastest. Backing it out relieves pressure and slows the cleaner if it is skipping or climbing out.
