The Polaris D15 is the feed hose nut for the 180, 280, 380 and 3900 pressure side pool cleaners. Polaris also calls it the hose mender nut. It is the genuine Zodiac made part, molded in plastic.
What it does
The feed hose is built from sections joined by menders and swivels. This nut is the collar that draws each joint together and holds it there while the booster pump pushes water down the line.
The symptom it fixes
A hose that separates as soon as the booster starts. When a nut splits or its threads strip, nothing holds the joint, and the cleaner loses drive while water sprays at the break.
Ordering
This is the nut on its own. Hose sections and hose swivels are separate parts, and a hose that has been apart a few times is usually worth going over completely.
