Why the restrictor is there
A pressure side cleaner is tuned by flow. The restrictor in the wall fitting sets how much water the cleaner actually receives, and the whole machine is designed around that number. Too much and the cleaner races, skips ground and wears itself out. Too little and it lacks the push to climb walls or drive the sweep hose.
