Polaris Genuine OEM Wheel Ball Bearing (280/180)

The Polaris C60 is the genuine wheel ball bearing for the Polaris 280 and 180 pressure side cleaners, and it also fits the 280 TankTrax, 280 BlackMax, TR28P and Quattro. It is sold each. Every wheel runs two bearings, one on either side, so a complete cleaner uses eight.

Why it matters

The bearings are what let the wheels spin freely on their axles. When they wear, the wheel goes loose and starts to wobble. That is the moment to change them, because a wobbling wheel lets the drive shaft chew the gear teeth inside the wheel, and then you are replacing wheels instead of bearings. Fresh bearings also bring back the cleaner's movement: it tracks the floor properly, gets around the pool the way it used to and tangles its hose less.

Genuine Polaris

C60 is the factory part, made to Polaris specifications, and it comes with a 90 day limited manufacturer warranty. Polaris also lists it as C-60, PVC60, 81253 and 60266, so any of those numbers on an old parts list points to this bearing.
