The Polaris C6 is the large drive wheel for the Polaris 180 and Polaris 280 pressure side pool cleaners. It is the genuine OEM part, molded in plastic.
Bearings are separate
The wheel rides on two C60 wheel bearings, and those are not included. Since a worn bearing lets the wheel move on its axle and grinds a new wheel out of round, it is worth fitting fresh bearings whenever the wheel comes off.
When to replace the wheel
Cracks at the hub, an oval hub bore, or a wheel that no longer holds the tire are the usual reasons. The large wheels are what put the cleaner through its pattern on the floor, so a failing wheel shows up as a cleaner that wanders, stalls or misses whole sections of the pool.
