Product details

The Polaris K25 is the genuine water management system for the Polaris 280 pressure side pool cleaner. It is molded in plastic and appears in the Polaris 280/TR28P parts diagram.

What it does

A pressure side cleaner runs on water delivered by a booster pump. That single supply has to do several jobs at once, and the water management system is what divides it up so each function gets its share instead of the flow taking the easiest path.

The symptoms

When the water is not being divided properly, the cleaner starts behaving oddly: wandering instead of covering the pool, struggling to climb, or picking up poorly. Those complaints often get blamed on the booster pump when the fault is inside the cleaner.

Rebuild time

If the 280 has several seasons on it, this part usually comes off alongside other wear items. Polaris sells factory rebuild and tune-up kits that gather the common ones together, which is worth comparing against buying parts one at a time.
