Polaris C86 is the drive shaft assembly for the Polaris 180 and 280 pool cleaners, supplied complete with the turbine shaft tubes. It is the genuine OEM part in molded plastic.
Where it sits
The drive shaft is the link between the turbine and the wheels. Water spins the turbine, the shaft carries that motion down the drive train, and the wheels walk the cleaner across the pool. A worn or snapped shaft leaves you with a cleaner that has plenty of flow and no movement.
Doing the job
The tubes come with the assembly, so there is nothing extra to source for the shaft itself. Polaris also sells a 180/280 factory tune-up kit and the wheel bearings on their own, and both are worth looking at while the cleaner is open.
