Product details

The Polaris K18 is the black sand and silt bag for the Polaris 280 Sport pool cleaner. It is the genuine Polaris OEM bag.

Sand and silt, not leaves

Polaris offers more than one bag for the 280 because pools do not all collect the same debris. This is the fine one. It is built to hold sand, grit and silt, the material that a coarser all purpose bag will pass straight through and send on to the filter. If your pool sits near a sandy yard or you have just finished plaster or grout work, this is the bag to run.

Why it matters

Every bit of sand the bag catches is sand the pool filter never has to deal with, and grit is hard on filter media and on the pump. Emptying a cleaner bag is a far easier job than tearing down a filter.

Polaris also lists all purpose zipper and velcro bags in black for the 280, so many owners keep more than one and swap by season. The bag collar for the 280 and 380 is a separate part; reuse yours if it is sound.
