The Polaris K5 is the blue top cover for the Polaris 280 pressure side pool cleaner. It is the genuine Polaris part and is listed as fitting all models of the 280.
What it does
The top is the molded plastic shell that closes over the drive and the internal parts of the cleaner. It takes the abuse: sun on the deck between runs, pool chemistry in the water, and years of the cleaner working its way along the wall. When it cracks or the mounting points break away, the cleaner still runs but nothing inside is protected.
Ordering
This listing is the top only, in blue. The bottom of the cleaner is a separate Polaris part, so look at which half has failed before you order.
