The Polaris K10 is the replacement bottom base for the Polaris 280 pool cleaner, molded in white and supplied with its bracket. It is the genuine Polaris OEM part.
When to replace the base
The base is the piece the whole cleaner rides on, so it takes the wear from the pool floor and the impacts from steps and walls. A cracked or worn through base lets the cleaner sit wrong on its wheels and can put the sweep hose and the bracket out of position.
Fitting
The base is held on with 2 screws from the bottom. Those screws are not included and are available separately, which is worth doing if the originals are corroded or the heads are rounded off.
