The Polaris R0536300 is the front housing volute for the new style PB4-60 booster pump. It ships with its drain plug and o-ring, so the housing goes back on the pump with a fresh seal.

Which PB4-60 do you have?

This volute fits PB4-60 pumps manufactured from 2011 to current, serial number PB120111001 and later. The quickest check is the housing cover: on the new style the ridges extending from the center hole are curved, on the old style they are straight. Straight ridges mean you need the P5 volute rather than this part.

What it fixes

A cracked or warped volute is one of the usual reasons a booster pump starts spraying water at the front. The housing comes off without disturbing the motor, and with the drain plug and o-ring already included there is nothing else to source for the housing itself.

While you are in there

If the pump has been leaking for a while, consider replacing the backplate o-ring and the 13/16 in. shaft seal at the same time. Both are separate parts.

How do I know whether I have the new style or old style PB4-60?
Look at the housing cover. The ridges radiating from the center hole are curved on the new style and straight on the old style. Curved ridges, or a serial number of PB120111001 or later, mean this R0536300 volute is the right one.
Does the o-ring come with it?
Yes. The volute includes the drain plug and the o-ring.
What if my pump is the old style?
Old style PB4-60 pumps, built before 2011 with straight ridges on the cover, use the P5 volute instead.
Do I need anything else for the repair?
If the pump has been apart or leaking, it is worth having the PB4-60 backplate o-ring and the 13/16 in. shaft seal on hand, both sold separately.
