Jandy Mechanical Shaft Seal, 13/16" ID

The Jandy R0445500 is the OEM mechanical shaft seal with a 13/16 in. inside diameter on the ceramic. It fits the older Jandy Stealth SHPF and SHPM pumps, those with a serial number before P08FF0001, and the Polaris PB4-60 booster pump with a serial number after PB120111001 or starting at AVEH050100. Why the inside diameter matters

The Stealth impeller was originally made with a different shaft. Impeller revisions N and lower have a double stepped shaft and need a seal with a 13/16 in. ID on the ceramic. Revisions P and higher have no step where the impeller sits on the motor shaft and need a 5/8 in. ID seal, which is part R0479400. Fit the wrong one and the seal will not seat.

One seal, not two

This kit used to include both seals. Since mid 2012 it ships with only the 13/16 in. seal, part A0580500. The product photo still shows both for reference, but only one seal is in the box. If you need the 5/8 in. seal, order R0479400.
