The Jandy R0446300 is the backplate o-ring used across the Jandy pump range. It is the genuine Jandy part.
What it seals
The back plate closes the rear of the wet end and carries the shaft seal. This o-ring is what keeps that joint tight. When it hardens and flattens, water weeps out at the seam and the pump can start to pull air on the suction side, which shows up as a low or unsteady water level in the strainer pot.

Fitting
