Match the horsepower
Pump impellers are cut for a specific horsepower rating. This kit is the 0.75 HP version, so check the rating on your motor plate before ordering. An impeller from a different horsepower will physically fit but will not give the flow the pump and filter were sized around.
When to replace it
Weak return jets and lazy skimming, with a clean filter and an empty pump basket, usually mean the impeller. Hair and fine debris pack into the vanes, and the vanes themselves wear thin over years of running.
