The Jandy R0449000 is a set of two 2 in. by 2-1/2 in. pump unions. Each union is the full three piece assembly: a tail piece, its o-ring and the coupling nut, so the pair covers both the suction and discharge sides of a pump. It is the genuine Zodiac Jandy part.

Where it fits

The same union is used across three Jandy pump lines, the PlusHP in both PHPF and PHPM versions, the MaxHP MHPM and the WaterFeature WFTR. It is also the union on the Legacy LRZE and LRZM gas heaters from 2009 onward, so one part number covers the pump and the heater on many Jandy pads.

Why replace it

Unions are what let you pull a pump or heater without cutting pipe. A cracked coupling nut, a warped tail piece or a flattened o-ring turns into a drip at the equipment, and a new union set is the clean fix. Replacing both sides at once keeps the two connections at the same age.
