Jandy Lid with Lock Ring

The Jandy R0480000 is the strainer lid and locking ring for the FloPro family of pumps. It is the clear plastic lid you look through to check the basket, together with the four tab ring that clamps it to the pump body and the lid o-ring that seals it. All three come in the kit.

Fitment

It fits the FloPro FHPM and FHPF pumps from 0.75 through 2.5 HP and the VS FloPro. The lid measures 6-7/8 in. across. If your pump is one of these models and the old lid matches that size, this is the part.

When to replace it

Lids fail two ways: the plastic clouds and cracks with sun and age, or the lock ring tabs wear until the lid will not clamp tight. Either one lets air into the strainer, and a pump that draws air loses prime and runs hot. A worn o-ring shows the same symptom and is worth trying first if the lid itself looks sound; the R0480200 ring is included here and also available separately.
