The Jandy R0479000 is the blue pressure O-ring used on Jandy Stealth, WaterFall and ePump variable speed pool pumps. It is the genuine Jandy replacement.
Where it sits
The blue O-ring seals the pressure connection on the pump. It is a small part with an outsized job: once it hardens, flattens or nicks, the joint weeps and the pump can pull air instead of holding a clean prime.
Fitting it
Clean the groove before the new ring goes in, and use a thin film of silicone based O-ring lubricant so it seats evenly rather than rolling or pinching as the joint is drawn together. Do not reuse the old ring; rubber that has been compressed for a season or two takes a set and rarely reseals.
