Polaris Genuine OEM Booster Pump Impeller, Old Style PB4-60

The Polaris P15 is the 3/4 hp impeller for the old style PB4-60 booster pump, the version manufactured between 1994 and 2011. It is the genuine Polaris part, made in plastic.

Old style or new style?

Two impellers fit the PB4-60 family and they are not interchangeable. The quickest check is the housing cover that sits over the impeller. If the ridges running out from the center hole are straight, you have the old style pump and this P15 is the right part. If the ridges are curved, you have the new style, which takes the R0536400 impeller instead.

Dimensions

Outside diameter 5-7/8 in. Front to back 1-5/8 in. Thickness at the outside edge is 7/16 in. on the outside face and 1/8 in. on the inside face. The inlet measures 1 in. inside diameter and 1-7/32 in. outside diameter, and the opening sits about 3/8 in. off the impeller face.

While the pump is apart

The shaft seal sits directly behind the impeller, so it makes sense to replace it during the same teardown. A worn or damaged impeller shows up as low booster pressure and a sluggish cleaner; the new impeller brings the pressure back.
