Product details

The Polaris P82 is the volute assembly for the PB4-60Q Halcyon booster pump. Polaris also calls it the front housing or face plate. It is the original factory part.

What it is

The volute is the front section of the pump that surrounds the impeller and directs water out to the cleaner line. It closes against the seal plate with an o-ring. When the housing cracks, the pump leaks under pressure, may draw air, and the cleaner loses drive.

Fitting notes

This part is for the PB4-60Q Halcyon only, so confirm the model on the pump label first. The seal plate o-ring is separate, and replacing it while the housing is off avoids a second teardown. On a pump with many seasons behind it, the impeller and a rebuild kit are the usual additions to the same job.

Is this the front housing for my Polaris booster pump?
It is the front housing, also called the face plate or volute, for the PB4-60Q Halcyon model. Check the label on your pump; other Polaris booster pumps use different housings.
Does it include the o-ring?
No. The seal plate o-ring for the Halcyon is a separate part, and it is worth replacing at the same time.
Should I replace anything else while it is apart?
If the pump has many seasons on it, the impeller and a rebuild kit are the usual companions, since the same teardown reaches all of them.
