Product details

The Polaris R0722800 is the impeller and diffuser kit for the PB4SQ booster pump. It is the genuine Zodiac made OEM part, with both wet end pieces supplied in one kit.

Why these two parts go together

The impeller throws the water and the diffuser directs it. They are machined as a matched pair, so replacing only the impeller leaves the worn diffuser to bleed off part of the pressure the new impeller just made. Fitting the set is what actually restores the pump.

What it fixes

A pressure side cleaner that has gone sluggish, stopped climbing walls or lost its sweep action is usually short of pressure, and a worn booster pump wet end is a common cause. New impeller and diffuser parts put the flow back where the cleaner was designed to get it.

The PB4SQ uses a totally enclosed fan cooled motor with a fan designed for quieter operation, which is what sets it apart from earlier booster pumps at the pad.
