The Polaris 9550 Sport is a four wheel drive robotic cleaner for pools up to 60 ft long, sold with a motion sensing remote, a 7 day programmable timer and a premium compact transport caddy that assembles without tools. It runs on its own, independent of the pool circulation: no hoses, no booster pump, just the included power supply plugged into a 110 volt outlet.

How it cleans

Four wheel drive gives it traction on any pool floor, better handling around obstacles and the grip to climb walls and steps, while the front scrubbers work the whole pool including the tile line. Vortex Vacuum Technology holds suction constant through the cycle, so cleaning power does not fade as the canister fills. The extra large filter canister has a fine filter basket for the smallest debris and opens from the top; empty it, spray it off, and you never handle the mess.

ActivMotion Sensor

An accelerometer, the same kind of device a phone uses to know which way is up, senses the cleaner's three dimensional position: deep or shallow, horizontal or vertical. The 9550 adapts its cleaning to suit, vacuums in reverse down the walls, tangles its cord far less and finishes about 20 percent faster.
