Product details
The Poolmate Hydro 4 Battery Powered Robot Pool Cleaner, part 40.40.300.0003, is a cordless robotic cleaner from Chasing that runs up to 3.5 hours per charge and cleans the floor, walls and waterline of pools up to 1,614 square feet.
Battery power
In battery mode the Hydro 4 runs from a floating battery buoy rated at 14,400 mAh, which takes about 4 hours to recharge. The battery rides at the surface instead of sitting on the pool floor, so there is no cable back to a power supply at the pad. Chasing also sells the Hydro 4 for corded use with a separate power control box and tether.
Filtration and cleaning
Two turbine centrifugal pumps move water at 5,070 GPH (320 L/min) through a dual-zone filter basket with 180 micron mesh and 4.1 liters of capacity. The front zone catches larger debris and the rear zone holds finer particles. Auto mode runs for 1, 2 or 3 hours, and Wall Only and Floor Only modes limit the cleaning to one surface.
Control and size
This listing is the WiFi version, and Chasing lists app control with scheduled starts. The cleaner weighs 14.3 lb and measures 15.7 x 15.9 x 10.0 in.
Before you order
Confirm you want the battery powered version, part 40.40.300.0003, which uses the battery buoy and no power control box. Compare your pool size against the 1,614 square foot rating.
