Polaris Genuine OEM Back-up Valve, Complete, White (180, 280, 380, 3900)

The Polaris G52 is the complete back-up valve for Polaris pressure cleaners: the case, the timer mechanism inside it and the case o-rings, in white. It is the genuine Polaris part.

What it does

The valve sits inline on the feed hose, 5 to 6 ft back from the cleaner head. Every 5 to 10 minutes its timer diverts water out of a jet, and the thrust pulls the cleaner away from whatever it has parked against, a step, the main drain, a wall or a ladder, so it can carry on cleaning.

When to replace it

A failed valve shows up one of two ways: the jet runs constantly and the cleaner never settles, or the jet never fires and the cleaner stays stuck for long stretches. Either way the G52 is the fix.

Fit and install

It fits the Polaris 180, 280, 380, 3900 Sport, TR28P, 280 TankTrax and 480 Pro. The arrow on the hose barb points toward the cleaner. If you only need part of it, the mechanism (G53), case kit (G54) and collar (G57) are available separately.
