Product details
The Polaris 39-126 is the genuine OEM driver chain for the 3900 Sport pressure pool cleaner. It carries drive from the gearbox out to the wheels, so it is the link between the cleaner having power and the cleaner actually going anywhere.
What a worn chain looks like
Chains stretch. As the pitch grows, the chain no longer sits down properly on the sprocket teeth and starts to skip under load. On the pool floor that shows up as a cleaner that crawls, wanders off its pattern, or stops moving while the jets are still working. If you can pull the chain visibly clear of the sprocket, replacement is overdue.
Do the job once
While the cleaner is open, look at the chain tensioner and the wheel sprockets. Both are separate Polaris parts and both wear on the same schedule as the chain. Fitting a new chain onto worn sprockets simply wears the new chain out early.
