Zipper or velcro
Polaris makes the all-purpose bag in two closures. This is the zipper version; the velcro version is a separate part number. Both do the same job, so order the one that matches how you empty the cleaner today.
When to change it
The bag is the only thing between the debris the cleaner picks up and the pool. As the mesh wears thin or a seam splits, the cleaner starts putting fine dirt straight back out, and owners often blame the cleaner rather than the bag. A bag that is worn through, torn or no longer closing properly should be replaced.
While the bag is off
Look at the collar that holds the bag onto the cleaner. It is a separate part and it takes a beating in the same place the bag does.
