The Polaris 9-100-3008 is the complete wall fitting connector assembly for the Polaris 360 pool cleaner. It locks into the wall fitting with a bayonet style twist and accepts the cleaner feed hose on the other end.
Make sure it is the right one
Polaris used two hose sizes, and the fittings are not interchangeable. The 360 hose is roughly 1-1/2 in. in diameter and corrugated, like a vacuum hose, and that is what this connector is built for. If the hose on your cleaner is smooth and about 3/4 in. across, and the pressure relief is black plastic instead of white, you have the small hose setup and need the other style of wall fitting.
Why it fails
This connector is the joint that takes every tug when the cleaner is dragged out of the pool, and it is what gives way when the hose separates from the wall or will no longer lock in. Because it is sold as a complete assembly, replacing it puts the whole connection back to new rather than patching one worn piece.
