The Polaris K17 is the genuine all purpose filter bag in black for the Polaris 280 BlackMax pressure side pool cleaner. It uses a hook and loop closure and it is the same bag Polaris supplies as a factory replacement.
All purpose, not fine silt
This is the general duty bag, the one to run for leaves, bugs, grass and everyday debris. Polaris sells a separate sand and silt bag for fine material, and the two are not interchangeable in practice. Running the all purpose bag when the pool is full of fine silt will get you a cleaner that appears to do nothing.
Check the closure
Polaris makes the all purpose bag with a velcro closure and with a zipper closure, under different part numbers. This one is the velcro version. Look at how the bag on your cleaner attaches before ordering, and change the bag as soon as the mesh thins or a seam opens, since a torn bag returns everything the cleaner picks up.
