Product details

The Polaris G54 is the white outer case for the back-up valve on Polaris 180, 280 and 380 pressure cleaners. It is the shell only. The internal assembly that makes the valve cycle stays with your existing G52 back-up valve and moves into this case.

When to buy the case

Back-up valve cases crack from years of sun and chlorinated water, or from a hard landing on the deck. If the valve still cycles but the housing is split or leaking around the seam, a new case brings it back without paying for a complete valve.

When you need more than the case

If the back-up valve has stopped cycling, or cycles constantly, the fault is in the internal mechanism. A cracked case will not cause that, so check the internals first and order the complete back-up valve or the internal assembly if they are the problem.

Does this include the working parts of the back-up valve?
No. The G54 is the outer case only. The internal valve assembly is not included and carries over from your existing G52 back-up valve.

My whole back-up valve is failing. Is this the right part?
Only if the case itself is cracked or broken. If the valve no longer cycles, you need the internal assembly or a complete back-up valve rather than the case.
