The Polaris D30 is the black quick disconnect for the universal wall fitting used by the Polaris 380 and 280 pressure side cleaners. It is the genuine Polaris part.
Where it sits
The universal wall fitting is the port in the pool wall that feeds pressurized water to the cleaner. The quick disconnect is the coupling on that fitting where the feed hose plugs in, so it is the piece you handle every time the cleaner comes out of the water.
Why it wears
Because it is pulled apart and pushed back together constantly, the disconnect takes more handling than almost any other part of the hose run. A cracked body or a coupling that will not hold the hose under pressure is the usual reason to replace it.
