This is the genuine Polaris A10, the white bottom housing with bracket for the Polaris 180 Vac-Sweep pressure side cleaner.
What it is
The bottom is the structural half of the cleaner. Wheels, axles and the rest of the running gear all locate off it, and it is the surface that spends its life dragging across plaster, tile and steps. That is why it is a wear part rather than a permanent one.
Check the model first
Polaris built the 180, 280 and 380 to look broadly similar and share some components, but the bottom is not one of them. This is the 180 part. Confirm the model on your cleaner before ordering.
A worn bottom pulls the rest out of line
Once the housing cracks or the mounting points elongate, wheels sit at odd angles, the cleaner tracks badly and other parts start wearing unevenly. Replacing the bottom puts the geometry back and gives the rest of the rebuild something true to sit on.
