Product details

Polaris B25 is the genuine sweep hose orifice tip supplied together with its orifice tip guard. It is the nozzle at the working end of the tail sweep on the Polaris pressure side cleaners.

Why the tip matters

The tail sweep is not driven by anything mechanical. Water leaves the orifice as a jet, and the size of that opening is what makes the hose whip across the floor and scrub. As the plastic wears, the opening grows, the jet softens and the tail goes limp. The cleaner still drives its pattern but the sweep stops doing its share of the work.

Does the guard come with it?
Yes. This is the orifice tip together with the orifice tip guard.
Does it fit the 480 Pro or a 280 Tank Trax?
The product title lists the 380, 280, 180 and 3900. The wider listing also names the 280 Tank Trax, the 3900 Sport and the 480 Pro. The two readings do not match exactly, so check the tip on your cleaner against the part before ordering.
What does the orifice tip actually do?
It is the nozzle at the end of the sweep hose. The size of that opening sets the jet that whips the tail around, so a tip that has worn open loses the scrubbing sweep the cleaner depends on.
How do I know mine is worn?
If the tail sweep has gone limp or the hose no longer whips the way it used to while pressure at the cleaner is otherwise normal, the orifice tip is the first thing to look at.
