Product details

The Polaris C67 is the black plastic wheel washer used on the Polaris 280 and 180 pressure side pool cleaners. It is the genuine Polaris part.

Where it goes

The washer covers the wheel bearing. The wheel screw then goes in through it, so the head of the screw pulls down on the washer rather than clamping straight onto the bearing. That is all it does, and it is the reason a wheel assembly stays together instead of chewing itself apart.

When to replace it

Any time the wheel is off. If the washer is cracked, dished or missing when you pull a wheel for a bearing or tire change, put a new one in before the screw goes back. It costs almost nothing next to a failed bearing or a wheel that has broken away.

What does this washer actually do?
It covers the wheel bearing. The wheel screw is installed through it, so the screw bears on the washer instead of directly on the bearing.
Does it fit the 180 as well as the 280?
Polaris lists C67 for both the 280 and the 180. The product description calls out the 280 Black Max by name.
Is the wheel screw included?
No. The washer is sold on its own. The wheel screw and the wheel ball bearing are separate Polaris parts.
How many do I need?
One per wheel screw. If you are rebuilding more than one wheel, count the screws you are taking out and order to match.
