Product details

The Polaris 6-505-00 is the rubber o-ring for the universal wall fitting and quick disconnect. It is also carried under the number O-403. The ring measures roughly 1-3/4 inch in diameter.

What it seals

The universal wall fitting is where the cleaner feed line meets the pool wall, and the quick disconnect is the joint that lets the hose come off without tools. Both rely on this o-ring. When it flattens, hardens or splits, pressure escapes at the wall and the cleaner runs weak no matter what the booster pump is doing.

Fitting it

Measure the old ring before ordering, since it is easy to confuse o-rings of similar size. Use a silicone based o-ring lubricant on the new one so it seats cleanly and stays supple.
