Polaris Genuine OEM Sweep Tail Wear Ring, Black

The Polaris B11 is the black sweep tail wear ring, listed for the 180, 280, 360 and 380 cleaners and described by Polaris as fitting all sweep tails.

What it is for

The sweep tail on a pressure side cleaner works by whipping across the floor and walls, driving debris up off the surface so the cleaner can pick it up. All that motion means constant contact with plaster, tile and grout, and the wear ring is the sacrificial piece that takes that abrasion instead of the tail.

Why it matters more than it looks

This is one of the cheapest parts on the cleaner, and ignoring it is expensive. Once the ring is worn through or has fallen off, the tail itself is dragging on the pool surface and it will not last long. Owners often end up buying a complete sweep hose tail because a part costing a fraction of that was never checked.

Service habit

Make a habit of turning the tail over and looking at the ring each time you pull the cleaner for basket cleaning. A ring worn thin, split or gone is a five minute fix at that point.
