The Polaris 6-500-00 is the universal wall fitting collar, the white plastic ring that anchors the UWF into the pool wall. It is the genuine Zodiac made Polaris part.
How it fits
One side of the collar carries 1-1/2 in. threads that go into the pool wall. The other side has the two nubs that the bayonet fitting on the cleaner hose locks onto. Everything the hose attaches to depends on those two nubs being intact.
When to replace it
If the bayonet will not lock, spins free, or the nubs have snapped off, the collar is the part to change rather than the whole wall fitting. It serves the Polaris 180, 280, 280 Tank Trax, 360, 380, 3900 Sport and 480 Pro, so one small part covers most of the pressure side range.
