The Polaris 9-100-3006 is the hose quick disconnect fitting body for the Polaris 360 pool cleaner, the piece at the pool wall where the cleaner hose connects. It is the genuine Polaris OEM part.
Why it fails
This fitting is handled every time the cleaner goes in or comes out of the pool. Nothing else in the hose run gets that much use. Combine that with years of sun and pool chemistry and the body eventually cracks, loosens or stops holding a firm connection, which costs the cleaner the pressure it needs to drive.
