The Polaris 9-100-1152 is the upper turbine housing for the 380 and 360 pressure side pool cleaners, and it is the genuine Polaris part.
What it does
A pressure side Polaris drives itself from water forced through an internal turbine. The turbine housing forms the chamber that water is directed through, and the upper half carries the top bearing seat that keeps the turbine spinning true. If the chamber is not sealed and true, water takes the easy path around the turbine instead of through it.
Symptoms of a bad housing
The classic sign is a cleaner that has good pressure at the wall and a healthy booster pump but still crawls, stalls on the wall, or refuses to climb. Before ordering, look at the housing for cracks around the mounting points and at the bearing seat for wear. A turbine that wobbles in the housing rather than spinning cleanly points at either the bearing or the housing that supports it.

Getting to the turbine means opening the cleaner, so check the turbine itself, the bearing and the drive belts at the same time. Those parts wear together, and doing them in one go avoids a second teardown a few weeks later.
